All services

The main service I offer is accompanying you to the places your ancestors walked, worked and lived thereby tracing your roots to the very soil they lived on.

Other services I offer

  • Genealogy research
    • This is about facts, who were your ancestors, where did they live.
  • Family history research
    • This is about the context of the lives of your ancestors. How did they live, what did they do, what made them migrate.

Both can be part of your physical journey to The Netherlands in order to prepare it. Or it can be done standalone from a physical journey.

More

  • Create a video feature about the city / village where your ancestors lived. Their home, their land, their church they went to, etc.
  • Maintain graves of your ancestors. Periodically I can clean them for you.
  • If you need Dutch personal documents from a municipal counter or court desk, but are facing difficulties with you DigiD account, I can pick them up for you with a signed authorization letter.
  • Cadastral Ledgers (up to approx. 1980). Not online available, so I can retrieve them for you. These are the large paper volumes in which land ownership was tracked per owner—recording which parcels they owned, when they bought them, and to whom they sold them.
  • National Archive files in The Hague. Not online available. If you are looking for files in the CABR war files or other files like the family history files, contact me.
  • Any other request you have.

As many of the services depend on the complexity of the request and the distance, please send me an e-mail to mydutchlegacyjourney@gmail.com in order to discuss what I can do for you at what price.
